Blooming Gardens!Van Vleck, and Presby GardensTherea are many public gardens in Montclair. In springtime they are great - but all year round you can see the lovely grounds. The Avis Campbell Garden, behind the Social Agencies building on south Fullerton has a gorgeous garden too. Just walk in - many plants are labeled. The Montclair Historical Society, Crane House on Orange Road has a beautiful herb garden. Many residents have lovely front gardens which we can all enjoy. Friends of BarnetBarnet England is one of Montclairs' sister cities. The Friends of Barnet are busy all year fund raising so that we can fulfill our obligations when the English students come here, Adult exchange is planned for for next year. For membership information ($25 individual and $30 for a couple) call me, 973 744 8377 x 102.
Le Tip Of West EssexTHis is a networking group I belong to that meets every Wednesday morning, at 7 am for breakfast at the Montclair Women's club at 82 Union Street. Only one representative from each business or occupation is allowed. We have about 50 members, and if you would like to join, let me know, and I'll check to see if that category if filled. You can come to one breakfast free - the second one is $8 then you think about joining. It can lead to more business, but more importantly, you get the chance to mingle with other people in business for themselves - and share ideas. You also develop speaking skills - because our speakers come from the group - and you have to take your turn at a 7 minute speach a few times a year. We also have purely social events, (race track, concerts, evening meetings so vistors who can't see getting up so early, can get an idea about the group.
If you can use more business, this is the place to start. call me, 973-744-8377 x102
